Our old system is Broke. It is time to interrupt old narratives with a new idea. This humorous short film points the way to just how broke the system is in our approach to addressing social issues, and how we can reimagine implementing actual solutions by government being able to purchase Outcomes... what the work of non-profits does. Moving from a place of scarcity to abundance, from managing problems to solving them.
On May 10, 2021 a launch was hosted by A Way Home, Raising the Roof, and Canadian Observatory on Homelessness.
With the question in mind.. What if we had a tool to end functional homelessness in Canada? Panelist from across Canada joined in a highly participatory conversation about how Outcomes Purchasing could a powerful new tool to scale the good work of nonprofits and make actual headway in doing something meaningful for our fellow Canadians experiencing homelessness. Turns out we had the resources to do it the whole time.
